Are you a mandated reporter?  Are you familiar with Louisiana’s reporting guidelines?

Mandated reporters are legally obligated to report suspicions of abuse or face legal consequences. It is important to note that a reporter does not have to be certain abuse occurred to report – that is the job of the investigators. If you suspect a child has been the victim of abuse, or witnessed a violent crime, contact your local Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) or, in the event of an emergency, call 911.
