Child Abuse Prevention Month

Did you know?

Since 1983, the month of April has been recognized across the United States as National Child Abuse Prevention Month as a way to help raise awareness and prevent future child victimization.

What’s Happening

Join us for an April event at our office, online or in a community near you!

Pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse prevention. Contact us today to purchase your pinwheel garden and show your support!

Show your support of safe and happy childhoods by wearing blue today.  Take pictures, tag and be part of the movement! #goblueforkids #jeffersonchildrensadvocacycenter

In partnership with the Louisiana Alliance of Children’s Advocacy Centers (LACAC), CACs from across the state meet with our elected officials to discuss the critical work taking place to better serve child victims of abuse.

Join community members as we raise awareness and the funds needed to serve child victims. This memorable evening comes complete with local celebrity MCs, live entertainment, auctions and much more!

Learn how to recognize, react and prevent child sexual abuse from occurring.  This evidence-based training for adults is open to the public and year-round, free of charge.
